It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Wilma's Garden website. I hope you will enjoy browsing my site and learning more about the work I do.

Education has been a passion of mine for over forty years and during that time I have experienced time and again the deep engagement and joy demonstrated by children in Montessori settings. Preserving and protecting childhood in a world that is too rushed and over- programmed is part of my mission, coupled with guidance and support for the natural development of children. In an increasingly technological world it is imperative that children form a strong connection with the natural environment. Fostering an understanding and respect for nature along with maintaining a sense of wonder is an integral part of the programmes I offer.

I have established Wilma's Garden to promote and support the education and development of young children. As a veteran Montessori educator I have enjoyed a successful career in Ireland, Australia and Indonesia.   My experience covers primary school, preschool, long day care and teacher education.

As a mother and grandmother I understand the sometimes rocky road of parenting and offer a range of services including workshops and individual sessions to assist parents  understand young children's development and help them faciliate play and meaningful engagement.

As a teacher educator I provide consultancy and mentoring as well as workshops and seminars for professionals in early childhood settings on a variety of subjects and curriculum areas.
